Ranbir Kapoor and Vidya Balan loot APSARA Awards, Winners List

Mumbai: It’s Ranbir Kapoor’s world everywhere nowadays. He has now ruled the Bollywood scene with his mastery acting skills and dashing persona. Apart from his Playboy image, he has shown his class in acting and proved that he belongs to the family who has been conferring the Indian viewers with their classy acting expertise for years and years.

Well, the confident Ranbir has been fetching the trophies of Best Actor since the day the awards functions have started off. After bagging the Best Actor awards at previous awards’ functions, Ranbir has now earned the distinction for his marvelous performance in Rockstar at the recently held APSARA Awards which took place on Wednesday in Mumbai. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, another talent who has well been capturing the bigger chunks of praise, Vidya Balan too fetched the Best Actress trophy at the event for her brilliant performance in The Dirty Picture.

The event of Chevrolet Apsara Awards was hosted by Karan Johar and Farah Khan. The who’s who of Bollywood industry came to adorn the occasion, which was further glittered with the sparkling gigs of the stars on stage.

Rockstar has simply been rocking hugely grabbing the trophies for various categories at awards functions. The Best Film award was given to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The Best Suporting Actor award was bestowed to Farhan Akhtar for his acting skills in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara whereas the Best Supporting Actress Award was grabbed by Parineeti Chopra for her magnificent act in Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl. She also bagged the Best Debutante Female Award for the same film.

Rana Daggubati earned the Best Debutante Male Award for his role in Dum Maro Dum. Bosco-Caesar fetched the Best Choreography Award for designing the dances for the peppy song in Desi Boyz.

Mohit Chauhan was awarded the Best Singer (Male) trophy for the song ‘Sadda Haq’ from Rockstar. Shreya Ghoshal fetched Best Singer (Female) trophy for the song ‘Teri Meri’ from the movie ‘Bodyguard’.  Irshad Kamil was given the Best Lyricist Award for the number ‘Naadan Parindey’ (Rockstar).

Amiatabh Bachchan was awarded with a specially arranged award for his hosting of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
