Hrithik Roshan may have shown his royal power in ‘Jodha Akbar’ and Ranbir Kapoor may have proved himself as a versatile actorbut it is Ranveer Singh who seems to be the new favourite with the directors. For quite some time now, the story of the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit ‘Magadheera’ has been doing the rounds. Producer Vikas Bahl has bought the rights of the remake and acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap is slated to direct the film.
There was a great buzz as to which actor will be roped in for this mega project and certainly one of the most anticipated films of the present times. Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor were actively being discussed but it is the ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ actor Ranveer Singh who has finally landed the role. An official announcement, however, is still awaited.
Ranveer is just a couple of films old and is yet to prove himself as a powerhouse of acting. He was quite good in his debut film and did reasonably well in his next ‘Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl’ but ‘Magadheera’ is the kind of film that can certainly take him to new heights.
Meanwhile, porn star Sunny Leone, who has the entire nation eating out of her hands, has got the confidence of her ‘Jism 2’ producer Pooja Bhatt. Pooja has created a big sensation by casting the hottie Sunny Leone in the much awaited sequel of ‘Jism’ that had the sexy Bipasha Basu and the sweltering John Abraham steaming up the silver screen. Pooja has cited that Sunny’s personality is apt for the lead role and she is a girl who easily relates to the character.
“We have done authentic casting in ‘Jism 2′. We have taken Sunny Leone because we want a girl who plays that kind of part and persona,” quipped Pooja during an event.
She also remarked that there are many who are hypocrites and then there are some like Sunny who are audacious. And she has decided to stick to those who walk their talk and don’t shy away from reality.
‘Jism 2’, whose big USP will certainly be the dare-to-bare Sunny Leone, is still in the pre-production stage. The film will have 2 actors in the male lead who are yet to be finalized. Hopefully, the film will be ready for release before 21.12.2012 so that men can watch it before the world comes to an end.
