Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’ Souza tie the knot

Mumbai: The much-awaited marriage of actors Riteish Deshmukh and actress Genelia D’Souza has finally taken place in Mumbai at Grand Hayatt Hotel. The ceremony was attended by the bigwigs of Bollywood and politics. After dating eight long years, eventually Riteish and Genelia tied the knot at a grand glittering wedding ceremony. The Sangeet party of the stars took place on Monday where almost the entire film industry was present, And now the d-day finally arrived earlier today.

Ritesih did not waste any moment in letting his fans know that he has married now with his lady love Genelia D’Souza. He posted a picture of his wedding on twitter. The picture shows him and wife Genelia in their wedding dresses.

The caption he gave to his photo was Mr & Mrs. Deshmukh. He posted the picture soon after he wedded earlier today. Post his tweet, Shahid Kapoor was quick to tweet about Riteish’ and Genelia’s marriage. Shahid said that finally G got married. He also uttered it looked unbelievable that Genelia was married now. Genelia has worked with Shahid in the film ‘Chance Pe Dance’.

The marriage ceremony of Riteish and Genelia took place in utter Marathi style. Riteish came sitting on horseback at the hotel in true Hindustani style. The big wheels who attended the event included Prithviraj Chavan, Praful Patel, Sharad Pawar, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kajol and Ajay Devgan.

The groom was clad with a white sherwani and a turban on head whereas Genelia was wearing true well designed red wedding dress. Ritesih’s father Vilasrao Deshmukh was wearing a sherwani. Today morning, Riteish tweeted that today was the last sunset for him as a bachelor. Both Riteish and Genelia earlier today tweeted birthday wishes to Mona Kapoor, the better half of Boney Kapoor.

Way back in 2003, both Riteish and Genelia had bumped into each other while shooting for the film ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’.
