Rockstar bags three awards at 18th Colors Screen Awards 2012

Mumbai: Imtiaz Ali’s directed and Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision’s produced flick ‘Rockstar’ has been rocking with oomph and conviction. Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri starrer Rockstar has been on way to allure the audiences. Still the people are showing their interest in watching this flick. Ranbir showed his potential of being a classy actor in this movie. He also flaunted the fact that he belongs to Kapoor family who are known for their strapping acting skills among movie fans.

Well, the film ruled the 18th Colors Screen Awards 2012. The night was mesmerizing and full of sparkles and filled with the who’s who of the Bollywood industry. There were classy performances as well by the swanky stars to lure the audiences out there as well.

Rockstar added more glitters to the awards’ function by bagging three prestigious awards – The Bset Actor, Best Playback Singer (Male) and then the Best Music.

The dashing hunk of Hindi cinema Ranbir Kapoor fetched the Best Actor award. The music genius and Oscar winner who have many national and Grammy awards to his name, A R Rahman grabbed the Best Music award. Mohit Chauhan won the trophy of the Best Playback Singer (Male) for crooning the song ‘Phir Se’ brilliantly.

Seeing this worth of the movie at the coveted Screen Awards, it appears that Rockstar will be rocking at other awards’ events to follow. Ranbir Kapoor has also been nominated for Filmfare Awards in Best Actor category along with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Amitabh Bachchan. But he is pretty hopeful for the award since he is confident of his skills he bestowed in the film. Let’s wait and see if he succeeds in beating out the likes of biggies of the trade at Filmfare. If he does, it would be a big achievement.
