Mumbai: As it was being expected and the entire lot of the trade analysts was expecting that Akshay Kumar’s recent release Rowdy Rathore would surely cross 100 crores mark, it happened now. Yes, finally the film has crossed 100 crores mark nett (as per the trade reports being circulated in the media). The film has joined the group of the movies which crossed this distinction. The movie is the directorial venture of south’s famed choreographer Prabhu Deva and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s production. Akshay Kumar has returned to action genre after a long hiatus of around 7 years or so. The moviegoers liked his return to action and the change in avatar did work well rather big time for the actor who last release Housefull 2 also joined the bandwagon of 100 crores mark.
Akshay is super excited and his excitements now know no boundaries. He keeps on thanking his fans on twitter. The film has written the success story and the makers, cast and crew all are super happy with this success. They might not have even thought of this kind of success with the film though it is the remake of the south’s superhit movie. The film has been doing great at both – single screens and multiplexes.
Year 2012 has been much beneficial for Bollywood and for Akshay Kumar in particular as his two movies – Housefull 2 and Rowdy Rathore crossed 100 crores mark at the box office.
