Mumbai: Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan now may enact the role of Jawaharlal Nehru. Yes, this might happen since a renowned Australian filmmaker wants to make a movie on Indra Gandhi. Bruce Beresford, 71, is that filmmaker who has made the Oscar awarded flick ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ and critically acclaimed films – Silent Fall and Black Robe in his career.
He now is in the process of starting a movie on Indra Gandhi for this he has landed into Mumbai to churn out talks about the movie. He met many renowned actors for the movie. The filmmaker ate dinners with many coveted faces of the tinsel town and discussed his project with them. He likes to hire the faces for his project.
To the film personalities in Mumbai, he gave the presentations in which he showed the faces of the stars from both Bollywood and Hollywood who have been morphed into the characters of his movie. The people got surprised when he showed the face of Shah Rukh Khan who has been morphed into the face of India’s biggest political leader Jawaharlal Nehru.
The rumors have now started making the rounds of the media that Beresford might fetch Shah Rukh Khan into the project for the role of Jawaharlal Nehru. A movie on the life of India Gandhi would be incomplete with the reference of her father Jawaharlal Nehru. Now all are waiting for Beresford for his offering the role to Mr. Khan and then we have to see if Shah Rukh Khan accepts it.
If Khan accepts it, it would be great to see into the character of Jawaharlal Nehru. Hope the things would move into positive manner and the movie will be made having Bollywood’s superstar in the lead role. But who will be roped in to the role of Indra Gandhi, this has not been leaked yet.
