Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor desperately wants to work with Karan Johar in any of film produced under Dharma Productions’ banner and his dream was on the verge of completion when all shattered and nothing happened. Now the actor will have to wait again for a movie of Karan Johar’s banner.
As per the reports, Shahid had suggested Karan Johar to co-produce the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil flick ‘Vetai’ in association with UTV Motion Pictures and the co-production was on way – everything was going fine and Kapoor was happy that his wish is going to be fulfilled. But at the eleventh hour, Johar opted out of the venture and UTV along is now going to produce the film.
Shahid is quite disappointed and heartbroken after hearing the news. A close source reveals that Shahid had to do a movie with Karan Johar to be directed by Punit Malhotra but things did not happen due to some unknown reasons. Then he suggested Karan Johar to co-produce the film (the Hindi remake of Tamil hit ‘Vetai’) along with UTV Motion Pictures, all was up and going okay but Karan Johar dropped the interest in the venture since Karan was quite busy with other projects. Karan is already doing a co-production with friend Ekta Kapoor so he does not want another co-production at all besides he shares a good rapport with UTV Motion Picture, thus he does not want to destroy his long-standing relationship with the production house. In addition to all this, he is returning to direction with a film ‘Student of the Year’, thus he does not have any free time at all.
Well, Shahid for your dream to work with Dharma Productions, you still have to wait more. We wish you good luck and hope you will convince Karan once again for some project.
