Shooting of Dabangg 2 starts amidst high security at Kamalistan Studios

Mumbai: Macho man Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 has been well in headlines. The movie is the central focus of the masses and the media post the award breaking success of the original ‘Dabangg’. The shooting of the sequel to Dabangg has started on Friday at Kamalistan Studios (Kamal Amrohi Studios) in Mumbai.

The shooting started under the tight security with true vigor. Every actor and the crew member were excited with the beginning of the shooting. Kamalistan houses 12 units and interestingly the entire 12 units of the studios have exclusively been rented to Arbaaz Khan Productions for their film ‘Dabangg 2’. It has happened in the 55 years’ history of the studio and it has also taken place for the first time in Hindi film history that the entire studio was rented to one film. The studio will be in possession of Dabangg 2’s team till the first schedule concludes.

More than 80 bodyguards were in place for the security purposes. Sonakshi Sinha, who turned down Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 just to be featured in the sequel to Dabangg, was much anxious for the start of the filming. Reportedly Sonakshi had turned down the offer of Tips’ Race 2 since there was clash of dates between two films. Although Race 2 is more commercial than Dabangg 2, she preferred Dabangg 2 over Race 2 due to Salman Khan since she knew that this film would certainly be a big hit and Salman was the one who gave her big break in Bollywood opposite him. Thus saying no to Mr. Khan is not an easy job, this Sinha babe knew. So she went ahead leaving Race 2 to join Dabangg 2.

Salman Khan has also been very protective for Sonakshi, as he shares a good rapport with Shatrughan Sinha and his family.
