Mumbai: Subhash Ghai, the renowned filmmaker of Bollywood who was once titled showman, is now returning to direction once again after a long hiatus of four years. His last directed venture was Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Yuvvraj (2008). Ghai’s comeback will also be with superstar Salman Khan. He has made the announcement of the movie with Khan saying it would be an action packed masala entertainer. The film will reportedly start by next year.
Salman Khan has other commitments, so, first he will doll up with them and then begin working in Ghai’s project. Subhash Ghai had stopped making films in 2008 to make his focus on his film school Whistling Woods International. Now he thinks he should return to direction once again. Although he had stopped directing the movies, but his production business under his banners kept producing the films.
Subhash tells that he has two projects in hands – one is with Salman Khan, which will start by next year and the other he will begin working this year. Ghai admits his mistake by casting Salman Khan in a musical romantic films ‘Yuvvraj’ which was a box office failure. He says that it was his mistake to cast Khan in a musical. Ghai adds that masses would love seeing him in action roles. After Wanted, people began loving him to see in action avatars. Well, it is true since his action movies all ran brilliantly well at the box office.
Currently Salman Khan is enjoying big success with Kabir Khan directed under Yash raj banner ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ that is also an action packed spy thriller. His next are Dabangg 2, Kick and Sher Khan. Once he gets free from these movies, he will start shooting for Subhash Ghai’s film. Let’s wait and see the combo of Ghai and Salman retuning to silver screen once again.
