Mumbai: Sujoy Ghosh, who is enjoying every bit of the success coming from his latest release Kahaani, is now going to fetch in the two mega talents – Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan in his next venture. Both of these stars were in Ghosh’s Kahaani – Amitabh sang a song ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ and Vidya acted the leading role. Amitabh has also worked as an actor in Sujoy’s 2009’s release Aladin.
Now with his next project, Ghosh like moving forward now thus he wants to make a film on Bengali literature. His next film is based on the famous Bengali novel ‘Aranyer Din Ratri’ written by the novelist Sunil Gangopadhyay. Both Vidya and Amitabh are set to enact the powerful roles in the movie.
Sujoy, talking to media, says that he cannot even think any film without both of these stars. He is so much impressed by the qualities of Balan and Bachchan that he wants to make each and every film of him with them. Ghosh also adds that he now likes to take his cinema beyond Kahaani which is why he has zeroed in Bengali novel to make a film on. On this novel, Satyajit Roy has attempted a film in 1970 and then Gautam Ghose too made the sequel to this flick of Ray in 2003. Thus Sujoy is well aware of the fact that the things would not be easy for him to deliver on celluloid. He has to be apt and perfect else he knows his project could be kicked out by the masses.
Sujoy says he now has to live with this novel for at least six month then he would start filming the project. He says that he has to be different from the previous two versions made on this novel. We wish Ghosh all the best and let’s wait for the film.
