Zee TV’s Choti Si Zindagi & Choti Bahu to go off air soon

It looks like replacement seems to be the new mantra of the Indian channels to increase thier TRPs. After Sony & Star Plus, joining the bandwagon is Zee TV. Rumor has it that two shows of the channel, Choti Bahu from DJ’s Creative Unit & Ek Nayi Choti Si Zindagi from Hats Off Productions aren’t able to earn much TRP for the channel. Earlier this month, Sanskaar Laxmi was axed due to the same reason. What we find amusing is that Choti Si Zindagi recently took a 10-12 year leap, while it is the second season for Choti Bahu, with the same lead pair and a different storyline & still it hasn’t worked in favour of the channel.

What we make out from the past is that Zee TV doesn’t want to lose what we term as ‘the Reality show slot’. From the two past years, either Dance India Dance or Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has occupied the 9.30- 11 pm slot every Friday & Saturday on Zee TV. And just to keep audiences glued to their television sets many variations were brought into their two year dance contest Dance India like DID for juniors, doubles and also the evergreen second season. Having already benefited from the second season, the third season of Dance India Dance is also on the cards of Zee TV.

Now that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is nearing its finale we hear that Zee Tv is coming up with another reality show named, “Star Ya Rockstar”, & the show will replace Lil Champs This show will various TV artists competing with one another through their singing skills. While actors Manish Paul & Chhavi Mittal are believed to be signed for the show, other names like Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Varun Badola, Rajshri Thakur and Vikas Bhalla are also being considered.

Again the Reality Show slot comes into the picture. ‘Star Ya Rockstar’,as believed, will air until the launch of action based talent show ‘Jaanbaaz’ which will be judged by action hero, Sunny Deol.
