THE “PUPPY- DOG EYED” BOY…
The Puppy-dog eyed boy of bollywood…carries a down to earth and simplistic attitude… you won’t be able to resist that wicked little school boy smile on his face….nonetheless, he flaunts a lean and muscular physique…he’s admired because his one mission seems to be directed towards excellence…you won’t be able to resist him….you will appreciate him and yes, you most definitely will fall in love with Imran Khan.
Imran was born in Wisconsin, USA on the 13th of January in the year 1983 as was named Imran khan pal. He was hyped even before his first movie released because he happens to be Aamir Khan’s (Actor) nephew… to add to this, Imran also happens to be Mansoor Khan’s (producer-director) nephew. It was with his film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in the year 2008 that Imran rose like a shining star and proved that he was well worth the comparisons that people had been drawing….he’s a versatile actor….believable…and it seems like just like his uncle Aamir, Imran too puts his “soul” into the characters that he chooses to play….
A Walk Down Memory Lane…
Anil Pal is imran’s father and is of an American- Bengali origin, connected to Yahoo! in the Silicon Valley and is now working as a consultant with LinkedIn in the Silicon Valley. Nuzhat Khan is imran’s mother (sister of Mansoor Khan) and happens to be a Bollywood director. The award winning film star- Aamir Khan is imran’s uncle and it has always been expected that Imran will follow in aamir’s footsteps….not just that…Aamir is also a fantastic director and producer who actively participates in mentoring Imran in addition to promoting him.

Imran’s debut was opposite Genelia D’Souza (actor) in the film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (an Abbas Tyrewala direction), sometime in 2008 where Imran’s work and credibility, both were proved. Imran’s uncle Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan produced this movie, which became the biggest hit for that year… Imran Khan obtained the position of the heartthrob and was garnered enormous reviews related to his acting ability…. The movie received enthusiastic reviews from all critics and was amongst the biggest blockbusters of that year. Imran was nominated a Filmfare Award for the Best Debut (Male) and he won this award together with Farhan Akhtar.
His 2nd release was in the year 2008 and saw Imran move from a light-hearted and calm Rats to being Kabir, a much darker character in the movie Kidnap where he starred opposite Minisha Lamba.
In the year 2009, Imran had two releases… based on the performance that the world saw in 2008, it was guaranteed that 2009 would be no different for this lad…. He was seen in the film Luck which was an action and a thriller where he shared the screen with established stars like Mithun Chakraborthy and Sanjay Dutt….imran was paired opposite sarika’s and kamal hassan’s daughter, Shruthi Hassan in this movie… kidnap flopped and the critics attributed the failure of this movie as being a poor direction and execution….nonetheless, Imran was nominated at the IIFA Awards for the negative role that he played in this movie….
The year 2010 brought with it some noteworthy work… imraan appeared in films like I Hate Luv Storys, (a Punit Malhotra direction and Karan Johar production)… The movie was a smashing hit on the silver screen….his next movie was Break Ke Baad (a Danish Aslam direction and Kunal Kohli production)….this film was an average grosser…yet, it was the chemistry that Deepika Padukone and Imran shared in this film was much talked about by the critics… imran’s role in film Delhi Belly (based on youth cult), is an English-lingo comedy and an Abhinay Deo direction….the track D.K. Bose became a rave with the young generation! The movie went on and became a commercial and critical hit…
Imran alongside actor Ranbir Kapoor, co-hosted the fifty fourth and the fifty sixth Filmfare Award functions… Aamir khan along with his nephew Imran was seen on a reality show Dus Ka Dum which was hosted by salman khan. Irrespective of what the role is about….irrespective of who he is cast opposite….this actor has truly proved that he is here to make a place for himself by HIMSELF…. He isn’t about the “filmy” relationships that he has in his kitty….he is not about having his uncle (producer and director) cast him in their films….he is a self made man….that’s the easiest way for me to describe this young lad….SELF MADE….he seems honest….he seems sincere….we have already seen that he is hardworking….and he is totally deserving of the love…the praise…the affection….the appreciation….name it and Imran khan deserves it….he deserves it because he’s proved himself… proved that he’s here to grow and to contribute to the Hindi film industry!!!
