Almost twenty years ago, Hema Malini decided to launch her first directorial debut with Dil Aashna Hai. Now, she is back in action with Tell Me O Kkhuda which is directed by her once again but this time to bring her daughter Esha Deol back in business. Directed by Hema Malini, Tell Me O Kkhuda stars some really classic veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra and Farooq Sheikh and young actors like Arjan Bajwa and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

The movie revolves around Tanya (Esha) who is brought up in well to do family with all the mannerisms and love by Ravi Kapoor (Farooq Sheikh) and his wife portrayed by Deepti Naval. However, Tanya knows that they are not her real parents and so Tanya decided to go ahead and search about her biological parents. Tanya’s determination to find her real parents take off and she travels around the globe to find the truth which is when she meets Abhay (Vinod Khanna), Altaf (Rishi Kapoor) and Anthony (Dharmendra) and finally Tanya finds the answers that she is looking for.

On performance level, Esha Deol proves that she is a mature performer and that she can perform well when better roles are offered to her. However, there is nothing much in the script that can allow her to show her versatility and therefore she is not able to display her talent in full swing. In young actors, Arjan Bajwa does not get a meaty role but Chandan Roy Sanyal is one fine actor that people should watch out for in the future as well. Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra and Rishi Kapoor all three veteran actors are too good on their screen in their respective character roles and that makes the movie watchable for some time. Technically, there is nothing much that can be said about the movie. The cinematography is decent but the music by Pritam is nothing that can impress your ears. Most of the songs are average and none of the songs are chartbusters for sure. The locations are interesting but the movie fails because of poor screenplay and script that only works in bits and pieces.

To conclude, Tell Me O Kkhuda can impress you but only if you love watching old movies that have very hardcore emotional drama. There is nothing in the movie that can impress the next generation audience and therefore only elders would prefer watching this movie. The script of the movie is never stable and therefore it confuses the audiences of where the story is heading. The movie is very similar to Dil Aashna Hai but Hema Malini has smartly made some changes to the script to give it a fresh appearance. Tell Me O Kkhuda is nice movie but honestly it never works the way you want it to be.
