Chennai: The announcements of National Awards were made earlier today on March 7th in New Deli. The 59th National Awards were given to the south movies as well and the winner movies from the south include Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai, Vaagai Sooda Va and Aaranya Kaandam. These flicks bagged the awards in various categories and really made the cinema of Tamil proud at national level. And through the media and the web, the Tamil cinema also became proud with these distinctions internationally.
Director and producer AR Murugadoss congratulated the winners. He showered his praiseworthy words and comments for the winners. But on micro blogging site, he showed his disappointment about not winning any award for his film ‘Engeyum Eppothum’. His movie failed to get any top honor. He had churned out this flick in association with Fox Studios. The movie stars Jai, Anjali, Sarwanand and Ananya. And it had received mammoth critical acclaim and got hugely appreciated by the audiences but at National Awards, it could not generate any oomph at all. Result: AR Murugadoss got disappointed.
On the other hand, we have learnt that Trisha’s film ‘Dammu’ opposite Jr. NTR is going to release on 19th April. The reports further say that the audio launch for the movie’s music will be held in time for Ugadi. Radha’s daughter Karthika Nair too will be seen enacting a prominent role in this flick.
In Telugu cinema, Jr. NTR is rated as the biggest star and his dancing skills are what people are crazy for. Trisha is all praises for her opposite man in the film, Jr. NTR. In particular, she is filled with praises of his dancing skills that she admits she found hard to match the steps along with him. Trisha is utterly excited and looking forward for the release of the movie.
