Shaji’s production ‘Asuravithu’ has been riding on the waves of fame since the day the movie went on floors. The audiences were waiting for the release. Now the wait is over since the film is out in theaters. Directed by A K Sajan, the film stars Asif Ali, Samvutha Sunil, Nivin Pauly, Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddique, Vijayaraghavan, Biju Menon,Jagathy Sreekumar, Harisree Asokan, Lena and Ganapathy. Rajesh Mohan has scored the music of the film.
The film is a well-executed saga that is laced with good storyline and screenplay. The film is potentially great to have the viewers glued to the screen and they enjoy every frame of the film unzipped on the screen. A K Sajan is a good story teller knowing the art of delivering the story on celluloid with brilliance. And the same he did with this flick titled ‘Asuravithu’.
Sajan is quite famed in Mollywood being the scenarist for the flicks – Butterflies, Janathipathyam, Chinthamani Kolacase, Red Chillies, Kashmeeram and Drona. The creative man has directed many a flicks as well in his film career such as Stop Violence, Lanka and others. The fabulous director who is also a script writer returns with his latest offering, ‘Asuravithu’. The new heartthrobs – Asif Ali and Samvutha Sunil have been roped in to play the main leads in the movie.
The film talks about a young guy Don Bosco (Asif Ali), who enjoys the bigger success of Salt ‘n’ Pepper and Violin. He is on cloud nine. Post his terrible childhood days, he is now on the lookout to get the peace in his life. Since he happens to be a religious person who has manners, he gets traced by the problems in life all the time from which he wants escape. To do so, he joins in a seminary to become a priest. He also enrolls himself in polytechnic to get the education. Soon he realizes that he is not the one who should be a priest. An incident happens that changes his life altogether and lets him learn to enjoy the happiness as a common man does.
The storyline itself tells that the idea is novel and interesting. The screenplay is superlative and gets the viewers to get glued. The writers of the movie deserve to be applauded big. They created the story and the script which are unique and attention-grabbing. And on the script, the man who made the film on is the director who very skillfully executes the story on screen that simply binds the viewers till the climax.
A K Sajan deserves distinction marks. The cinematography is wonderful, the camera movements are great. Editing portion is good. Music by Rajesh Mohan is spongy treat.
Asif Ali shows his skills of good acting. He has a good scope in the film fraternity. He will go to heights soon. Samvutha Sunil does the meaty act and impresses with her acting. Rest of the cast is pretty good as far as their roles are concerned.
‘Asuravithu’ is a must watch since it has unique storyline, script and wonderful direction apart from the brilliant performances.
