Gautham Menon, afraid of Hindi audiences now, becomes careful

Chennai: Gautham Menon, who has the bigger dreams and plans for making few films in Hindi, has now dropped the idea of going for any Hindi remake instantly rather he now would be very careful in deciding which movie is to be remade in Hindi. His ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ (a remake of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya) bombed very badly at the box office in north. This Hindi remake flopped super badly despite the heavy promotional activities and fetching the musician like A R Rahman as well. Gautham has understood now that the audiences here in north are very intellectual and only pass those movies which they think have content. It is a fact that the audiences in north India are very intelligent, you cannot deceive them at all and this is the vivid reason that many big-budgeted Bollywood movies get flop at the BO just because they do not carry any content to impress the masses.

Gautham has turned much careful now. He is presently busy with the filming of Neethane En Ponvasantham. He had plans to release this flick in three languages – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. And now he has dropped his idea of making this film in Hindi with the biggest fear that the masses there would again not approve it at all.

He has now re-made his strategy and as per the strategy, he will first make two versions – Tamil and Telugu and then check the audiences’ response. After that, he would make his movie in Hindi.

This film features Jiiva in lead role and Nani will doll up the lead in the Telugu version. Samantha has been roped in to play the leading babe in both the films. In Tamil version, the likes of Anupama Kumar, Santhanam and Ravi Raghavendra will do the supporting roles. Isaignani Ilayaraja is behind the musical score.
