It has been learnt from the sources that both biggest Khans of Bollywood world, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have been trying hard to buy the rights of the successful South film ‘7aum Arivu’. The movie turned out to be the biggest blockbuster and the two Khans are found being lips-smacking for the film’s remaking rights.
The reports say that Salman and Aamir both show utter interest in remaking of 7aum Arivu. It is often witnessed in Hindi cinema that the South’s blockbusters are remade. The Bollywood producers always keep an eye on the movies of South and whichever turns successful, they start doing efforts to buy the rights for the remake. And often the remakes of the movies become blockbusters in Bollywood.
Both Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have given box office hits, which were the remakes of the south movies. Salman hit the jackpots with Wanted and Bodyguard (both movies were the remakes of the Tamil flicks – Pokkiri and Kavalan) and Aamir looted the box office with Ghajini.
Aamir’s Ghajini was directed by AR Murugadoss, who happened to be the director of the original Tamil hit.
Well, both the actors have been using their contacts to purchase the rights of 7aum Arivu and lets wait and see who wins in the last!
Bollywood filmmakers not only remake the Tamil movies, it is also seen that they churn out the movies based around Hollywood films. It is also a trend in Hindi cinema to chew up the films on popular novels. The adaptation of the novels often turn hits the example being Vidhu Chopra’ s Parineeta starring Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, Sanjay Dutt and Rekha.
Recently Chetan Bhagat’s novel has been roped in to make a film on, for which it was learnt that UTV bought the rights (as per the reports). Well, this is the world of cinema where all happens.
