Shah Rukh Khan finally says ‘yes’ to AR Murugadoss’s Ramana

Mumbai: The whole media and the web were abuzz about Shah Rukh Khan’s entry into the Hindi remakes of the blockbuster south movies which were offered to him recently. Two south movies were offered King of Bollywood – AR Murugadoss’s Ramana and Gautham Menon’s Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu. Both the filmmakers are much reputed and worthy in regional cinema and have delivered hits in Bollywood scene as well. Thus this made Shah Rukh quite confused as to whose movie to choose? Thus he took much time on both the offers and eventually said ‘yes’ to AR Murugadoss’s Ramana.

Kamal Hassan, who is also doing the main lead in the Hindi version of Gautam Menon’s Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu, has recommended Shah Rukh Khan’s name for the leading role in the movie. But things could not go in Gautam’s favor who was much keen to have Khan on board like Murugadoss who won the game in the end.

AR Murugadoss’s Ramana will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It has been learnt that Shah Rukh made his mind for AR Murugadoss since he has previously given a blockbuster in shape of ‘Ghajini’ in Bollywood. In addition to this fact, Khan did not want to portray the character of a policeman in the movie (as Gautam’s Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu carries the role of a cop) since Salman Khan had played in Dabangg.

On the other hand, our sources make us learn that the southern big star STR has returned from America after shooting for the film, ‘Love Anthem’. But the actor is still super busy that he has to be in the air for more projects. He will now be leaving for Hong Kong for his movie ‘Poda Podi’ to shoot some scenes there. Post Hong Kong, he will go to Brazil to shoot some of the action scenes for the movie ‘Vettai Mannan’.
