Pune: Tamil actress and model has been arrested on charges of prostitution at a five star hotel in the city on Saturday night. The crime branch of the city raided at the hotel to capture the actress and the sex racket. The actress, 22, works in Tamil film industry and also is a famed model in Chennai. The police are hiding her name.
Along with the actress, her 32-year-old stepbrother too has been nabbed. Police report that her stepbrother used to accompany the actress wherever she would go for her prostitution business in different cities. The police shocked to learn that the actress’ father was the major element behind running the sex racket. He runs a photo studio in Versova, Mumbai. He would arrange the clients for his daughter. The police are on way to track him down.
Authorities told that the actress had lately essayed the lead roles in three Tamil films, which are due for release now. Police said she was a coveted name in the industry and had done the prominent commercials for the diamond and garments brands in Chennai.
Cops arranged the team to raid at the hotel after they got the information that the actress was coming for the sexual business in Vimannagar. Police was after this sex racket and informed that the actress’ father was running this business. It was also informed to the police that some other famous actresses and models from the Tamil filmdom were involved in prostitution and attached with this sex racket. Police sent their man to her father acting as a client. Her father asked for Rs. 3 lakhs for two hours and also asked the client (police’s guy) to arrange two rooms at a five star hotels – one for the actress and other for her stepbrother. The rooms were arranged and when she came with her stepbrother, police were already there and she and stepbrother were arrested. She then told to the police that she got involved in prostitution since she did not have enough money.
