Yogi sings the Kannada version of Dhanush’s Kolaveri Di

Chennai: Yogi is much famous in the Kannada film industry having abundance of fans there. Since the day he stepped into the world of entertainment, he has been termed Sandalwood’s Dhanush. This is because his appearance and resemblance fits to the Tamil star Dhanush, who has now turned superstar after the ever-increasing success of the song ‘Kolaveri Di’.

Well, now Yogi has connection with Dhanush’s Kolaveri Di song. He has just sung the Kannada version of this number. Now he is all geared up to make his comparison with Dhanush and with this way, he can prove that he is best fit for Dhanush’s resemblance. As per the reports, Yogi just fetched two hours to croon the Kannada version of Kolaveri Di. The filmmaker, lyricist and the musician over there got impressed by the efforts put by Yogi to make this version as appealing as Dhanush’s is! The Kannada version goes like Kaali Roadu, Onti Girlu.

This number is now going to be featured in Yogi’s upcoming flick ‘Kalaya Tasmayi Namaha’ to be directed by none other than Chandrashekar Srivastava. The music of the film album and Yogi’s Kolaveri version has been scored by Neil.

Yogi told that this version was inspired by Dhanush’s superhit song ‘Kolaveri Di’. He further uttered that the director of the movie was literally and instantly impressed by the number the moment he heard it. As per Yogi, Chandrashekar called him up and asked to meet him and when he came across him, he offered him the Kannada version of Dhanush’s song. Initially he was hesitant since he was not a professional singer. But this the musician, lyricist and the director knew well, thus they gave him the courage and helped him croon it. The recording happened and all got hugely allured by the singing of Yogi.

This song is Yogi’s first attempt of playback singing though he is famous for rapping among his friends.
