Remember the charming heroine of Amir Khan in the 2001 movie Lagaan? She is the lovely Gracy Singh. After lagan, she also starred in it the Sanjay Dutt starring blockbuster Munnabhai MBBS which released in 2003. She also played the role of Ajay Devgn’s wife in the film Gangajal.
After keeping a relatively low profile for quite some time she is set for a comeback. Her upcoming movies are Deshdrohi and Aseema. When asked about her absence from the limelight for a long time, she is supposed to have said that she wanted the correct roles to come to her and that she did not wish to rush into things.
But now she is whole heartedly working on the new projects at hand. She has already finished filming her movie Deshdrohi, where she is cast opposite Kamal Khan. The movie is said to have many fight sequences involving her. For these she had to undergo training from fight masters. In the film Aseema, which is based on an Oriya novel, she is a girl born to a rich family. She never gets to taste the big bad world. That is until she is married. After the marriage she is brought down to real world with a loud thud. Gracy is said to have described the movie herself as one having a beautiful romantic angle. The filming for this movie is to begin soon.
To her fans she is an intelligent looking actress. Her innocent looks have won her many admirers too.
