Hate Story has managed to garner a lot of public attention these days. First of all, the official trailer has not been released on the television. The reason stated is that the trailer is too bold for television. Audience views for the official trailer, which has been made available on Youtube, have improved dramatically in the past few days! The movie boasts of imparting a message never delivered by any movie on the Indian celluloid screen.
The obvious focal points of attention have been the bold scenes. Lead actress Paoli Dam has not kept any inhibition with respect to her skin show in the movie. The film is an out and out erotic thriller where no compromises have been made with the boldness quotient. Director Vivek Agnihotri believes that this is the only movie after the much spoken Utsav, which has explored the erotic thriller genre.
As the movie dwells on a totally unique theme, makers have also opted for a productive marketing strategy. Vivek recently quipped that the audience wants to see bold scenes in movies these days. Paoli Dam on the other hand raised the oomph factor by stating that she wanted a La Titanic type painting of hers made. Paoli had no hesitation in doing explicit scenes as she believed in entering the skin of her character.
The film has been slated for a release on 20th of April, right in the middle of the IPL season. Vivek remains unfazed by the potential risk stating how other movies last year made profits during IPL. The movie also sees Gulshan Devaiya, who was last seen in the much acclaimed Shaitaan as the negative character while Nikhil Dwivedi has been cast in a pivotal role. The story is based on the plot of revenge and the extent to which, a women scorned by something can go!
