Famous actress Hrishitaa Bhatt who is also spelled as Hrishita Bhat was born on 10th May, 1981. She was born in Mumbai in a bengali – speaking family. Hrishita as a child practised dance lessons and was also an athlete. She has always believed in keeping herself fit right from her school life. Hrishita aspired to be a pilot untill she completed her education in the Trinity College, London and went on to take Kathak classes from dancing guru Shiamak Davar.
Hrishita’s performance in the music video of the band ‘Aryans’ was superb and her persona added the intensity to her popularity. The increasing popularity gained her the chance for an entry in the industry. She was recommended to the bachchan family by one of their friend and she was eventually offered the role in the movie ‘Shararat’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The movie gave her the plattform to express and showcase her beauty and sharp points which immeadiately resulted in an offer for a role in the historical drama ‘Ashoka The Great’ opposite the King Khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. The role in this movie was offered to her by Shah Rukh Khan himself. She was offered this movie after Shararat but Ashoka the Great released a year before that.
The cute smile of the Liril Girl bagged more oppurtunities which lined up after these movies. The role in ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’ was that of a profound and hurt lover and the film had some greatest old songs remaked to suit its song list. She then went on to do a comedy movie ‘Out Of Control’ where she played the role of a Indian girl aspiring to marry the male protagonist ‘Riteish Deshmukh’ in the movie. Her bold and rough character in ‘Charas – A Joint Effort’ and ‘Ab Tak Chappan’ has shown the bold side of her on the screens. Another movie she did with Imraan Hashmi was named ‘Jawani Diwani – A Youthful Joyride’. She played deep roles in movies like ‘Jigyaasa’ and ‘Ankahee’. Apart from Hindi movies, she has also done a Kannada and a Bengali movie with Raju Mukherjee. This was the time when she changed the spelling of her name from Hrishita to Hrishitaa and from Bhat to Bhatt.
