A heart-throb of Indian television, he made the audience go crazy with his ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’. Karan Kundra hogged the limelight with his very first television programme and became an overnight sensation.
Born as Veer-Karan Kundra on 11th October 1984, he hails from Jalandhar and was educated there. The youngest child of the family and the only brother of three elder sisters, Karan completed his master’s degree from Florida, USA. He even joined the family business of construction, the latest completed infrastructure being the ‘Insignia Shopping Mall’ in his hometown Jalandhar. He also owns an international call center.
Karan’s way to stardom was a dream come true. He managed to get in touch with Soap Queen Ekta Kapoor through Facebook and sent her his portfolio. Soon, he grabbed a much-coveted role in Balaji Telefilms’ new serial ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’. He played the role of a business tycoon Arjun Punj, opposite newcomer Kritika Kamra, who played an innocent aspiring singer Arohi Sharma. The serial became a rage, especially among youngsters, and the handsome actor became the nation’s heart-throb.
Later, Karan played the lead role of Veeru in Sony channel’s serial ‘Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai’ and did a cameo in ‘Aahat’. He also participated in popular dance reality show ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’ on Star Plus.
In 2010, Karan was seen playing a businessman having underworld connections, in the second season of daily soap ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’. In 2012, he starred in a Punjabi musical drama movie titled ‘Pure Punjabi’. As of now, he is seen in Channel V’s show ‘Gumraah’.
Karan is in a relationship with his ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ co-star Kritika Kamra since 2009.
