Raima Sen has a rich family legacy of being attached to the film industry. She is the daughter of Moon Moon Sen and the granddaughter of the gorgeous and evergreen Suchitra Sen. She is part of both the Hindi and Bengali film industry.
She was born on the 7th of November, 1979. She made her debut with the film Godmother. The film got a lot of critical appraisal but the role aht she palyed was not very meaty. Then came Daman, where her character as the daughter of Raveena Tandon was very much appreciated. However the role which got her the attraction of most, and gave her career a set direction was Rituparno Ghosh’s Chokher Bali. Though it was more of a Aishwariya Rai Bachan movie, Raima Sen had a character of her own and she played the character very well. After that there was no turning back.
Though she continued to do a few mediocre films, even after that, her acting prowess was aprrecaited by one and sundry. Then came Parineeta, where she played the role of the heroine’s sister but a very lovablree and adotrabkle sister indeed. She has crafted a name for herself in the Bengali film industry with films like the Japanse Wiffe, Antar Mahal, Baishey Shrabon, Khela, Noukadubi , and The Bong Connection. All these films have won critical acclaim. Her film Mirch In Bollywood has got wide appreciation . Her public profile is much more on the softer side than her sister Riya Sen, but with her gorgeous eyes and to die for looks she is the heartthrob of many.
