An intense actress and a dusky beauty is how one can define Sandhya Mridul best. Born on 28th March 1975 in Mumbai, Sandhya is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She completed her graduation in Mathematics, did her post-graduation in marketing, and worked as a marketing executive in Mumbai.
Sandhya first appeared in popular TV programme Swabhimaan, and then in ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, ‘Hu Ba Hu’ and ‘Koshish’. 2002 gave her a major break in films as she bagged a role in Yash Raj Films distributed ‘Saathiya’, starring Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukerji. She played the supporting role of Rani’s elder sister, and her performance was much appreciated.
After appearing in a few more shows, Sandhya decided to quit from television, because of the repetitive roles that she was getting. Her role as an air hostess in her next film ‘Page 3’ earned her critical appreciation yet again. The film was also a box-office success.
Thereafter, Sandhya starred in films like ‘13th Floor’ and ‘Chowki’, which were different in terms of their content, but failed to do well at the box office.
