A heartthrob of all the ladies and the ultimate king of romance, Shahrukh Khan is the fondly called the “Baadshah” of bollywood. Known for his humble behaviour and wonderful personality, King Khan has worked his way up to the top on his own.
Shahrukh was born on the 2nd of November 1965 in New Delhi. He lost his father when he turned 15 while his mother passed away when he was 25. Those were the tough times for King Khan, who never gave up on his ability. He started his acting career with television serials Fauji and Circus, both made by director Aziz Mirza with whom, Khan made many successful movies thereafter. His first bollywood release was Deewana.
He then went on to play negative characters in the super hit films Darr and Baazigar. His magnanimous personality and great acting skills earned him rave reviews. After associating with the Yash Raj camp with Darr, the actor went on to create a legacy by starring in epic blockbusters under the Yash Raj Banner. Some of these hits include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil to Paagal Hain, Mohabbatein , Chak De India, Rab ne Bana Di Jodi and Veer-Zaara. He also struck a successful streak with director Karan Johar. SRK’s other prominent hits include Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Main Hoon Na, Don, Don 2 and many others! He also starred in critically acclaimed movies like Swades and Paheli. SRK has also hosted TV shows like Zor Ka Jhatka, Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tezz Hain and the third season of KBC. He also owns the IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders.
SRK’s family consists of his wife Gauri, whom he married in 1991. Both jointly own a film production company, called Red Chillies Entertainment. They are the proud parents of two kids, Aryan and Suhana. SRK believes in making people happy with his work and considers this as his sole motivation for excellence.
