Tara D’Souza is an Indian actress and model, born on 18th April 1986 in Hyderabad. Born to Andreas and Diane D’Souza, Tara also has two siblings, brother Noel Prasad D’Souza and sister Mira D’Souza.
Tara has always been interested in the glamour world and pursued her career as a model while still in college. She has also been a former model in the Kingfisher calendars.
Her acting career began in the year 2006 with the movie ‘The Angrez’. It was a comedy film, with slapstick humor and portraying the fascination that people have for American culture. It was a film of the Hyderabadi film industry and released only in a few parts of Hyderabad. It received a super-hit response from the places where it was released, but since it did not release on a large scale, the film went unnoticed. And so did Tara.
In 2011, Tara D’Souza bagged a role in Yash Raj Films ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, starring Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar. She played the role of Piyali, Ali’s girl-friend. The movie was a hit, and gave her much recognition.
In the same year, she also acted in a movie named ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’, which was based on the popular social networking site Facebook. It was a tale of mistaken and secret identities, which leads to college students falling in love. This movie also received a positive response from viewers although it was not a huge commercial success. Her character’s name was Malvika.
